Illustration Friday: Poise

Do you ever get one of those ideas that just pops into your head and your not really sure if it makes any sense but you just have to do it? That’s what happened with this word. The first thing I thought of was a giant gaudy neck tattoo that said “Poise”. It just seemed so wrong and stupid that I had to do it. I also felt like creating a more realistic drawing than I have in a while.

The Thursday night interview of Jim Cramer on The Daily Show was legendary. I kind of felt sorry for the guy because he seemed to take it very personally and never realized it wasn’t really about him. It was about media in general.

My latest painting. Its a of a house just down the road from me. I used to walk by it every Saturday morning back when Alex was still in a stroller. I always like the simplicity of the design.

This is a commissioned painting I just finished. I think she really liked it. The ice proved to be a little trickier than I thought. It was a strange combination of very smooth and very textured with a lot of variation in tone.

This is more about hot air or a wind-bag, but it was the first think I thought of when I saw the word “breezy”. Its supposed to be Rush if that’s not clear.
