I always feel strange posting things like this but I thought I should announce that I won “Best in Show” at the Robbin Gallery’s March Madness Member Show. Here is picture of me and Kate next the winning illustration.
My wife and sister in law are starting up a business called I do Redo. Its a bridal consignment sale. You can check out their website at www.idoredosale.com. I did a bunch of their graphics and I think they turned out pretty good.
First is the logo showing a typical table at the sale full of wedding items like shoes and vases.
Next is a business card. Most of the design and colors come from their website.
Next is a post card. Once again the design comes from the website. I also created the three icons used on the card.

Wrapped up in that little bubble wrap package is 3 years of my life. My hard drive crashed a few weeks ago and I lost everything. I just found out a few days ago that even the engineers at Ontrack Data Recovery were unable to recover any data. 250 Gigs and 3 years of family photos and 3 years of art work are gone. Possibly forever. I say possibly because I still have the hard drive. And who knows, maybe in about 5 years technology will have advanced enough for somebody to be able to assemble the data.
So, to anybody who reads this, back up your stuff. Do it now. I didn’t and now its all gone. The birth of my daughter, my son’s first bike ride, his 3, 4, and 5th birthday. Everything except a few random photos placed in e-mails and blogs.
And to anybody who knows me, could you please look through your old photos for pictures of my wife and kids and I. We would be grateful for a copy of anything you have.
I sketched out a stupid joke about how GM should have adapted more and put fins on the Hummer to increase sales.
But we just had a beautiful baby girl last Tuesday and now I have to adapt to having 2 kids. So needless to say, I may be a little slow on finishing the Illustration Fridays for the next few weeks.
I thought I might as well post the t-shirt I made for my niece when her baby brother Isaac was born. I think she liked it.
